Finally, with your mandolin, play through each one of the major scale patterns, one at a time, and analyze how each pattern follows the “big repeating pattern”. Start with pattern 1. Play this pattern from beginning to end until you can clearly see how pattern 1 follows the “big repeating pattern”. Repeat for Major scale patterns 2, 3, and 4.
