The Illustrated Mandolin Chord Bible

How to Read the Chord Diagrams

This entry is part 2 of 5 in the series Chord Bible

This page provides a quick reference to understanding the elements of our chord charts. Thank you for viewing it! Please remember that you are always welcome to contact us with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.

Did you know that this project began as an idea for a printed book version? It is the author’s belief that a book of chord charts that contain fingering diagram, photograph, standard notation, musical intervals – in short, as much information as possible on each chord – would be a valuable resource for students of the mandolin. Plans for a print copy of the chord bible are still very much in the works.

Your feedback and support for this project is much appreciated.
