How to Play Pattern 7

  1. Watch the video to get an overview of how to play Major scale pattern 7. Remember, it doesn’t matter which fret you “start” the major scale patterns from. It only matters that you memorize the pattern.
  2. Use the scale chart and practice playing Major Scale Pattern 7. Your goal for this step is to be able to memorize major scale pattern 7, and to be able to play it in ascending order (going up in pitch) and then back down in descending order (going down in pitch) WITHOUT looking at the scale chart.
  3. When you are reasonably comfortable playing Major Scale Pattern 7 in both ascending and descending order AT A SLOW AND CONSISTENT SPEED, you are free to move on to the next lesson.
